This is the new Geely Galaxy L6 Creative Edition, a plug-in hybrid sedan priced at 129,800 yuan ($17,900). As a new addition to the Geely Galaxy L6 lineup, the new car features a new pink exterior and updated configuration.
In June, sales of the Geely Galaxy series totaled 15,975 vehicles, up 65.2% year-on-year and up 12.6% from the previous month. Specifically, 6,391 Geely Galaxy L6 vehicles were sold, up 4.3% from the previous month. From January to June 2024, the cumulative sales of Geely Galaxy totaled 81,421 vehicles.
As the new Geely Galaxy L6 (see specs here), the Creative Edition design is in line with current trims. The new car features a new pink exterior and a black roof. The dimensions remain unchanged at 4782/1875/1489 mm with a wheelbase of 2752 mm. The drag coefficient is 0.26Cd and the official stopping distance from 100 to 0 km/h is 36.5 meters.
In terms of configuration, the Geely Galaxy L6 Creative Edition gets seven new features, including interactive LED headlights/ taillights/through light bars with a length of 3.3 meters that can create 100 different lighting scenarios when paired with music, frameless exterior mirrors, 18-inch wheels, electric tailgate and a 1.76-square-meter panoramic roof.
The powertrain is still represented by the Geely NordThor Hybrid 8848, which consists of a 1.5-liter engine and an electric motor mated to a 3-speed DHT. The 1.5-liter engine develops a maximum output of 120 kW (161 hp) and a maximum torque of 255 Nm, while the electric motor produces 107 kW (143 hp) and 338 Nm. Acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 6.3 seconds. The 18.74 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery provides a CLTC range of 125 km in electric vehicle mode and a combined WLTC range of 1,370 km.
The interior is finished in the Deep Space Grey color scheme, and the center console is complemented with suede elements. The cockpit features a 13.2-inch center display, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster and a D-shaped multifunction steering wheel that match the current equipment.
The operating system of the car is powered by Galaxy N OS, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset. The car is also equipped with a number of features including cruise control, built-in DVR, voice control, Wi-Fi hotspot, karaoke, remote control and air quality monitoring system. “Marmalade seats” support massage, ventilation, heating and electric adjustment functions. In addition, 256-color atmospheric lighting in the cabin can change according to five scenarios: door opening, intelligent voice input, music rhythm, air conditioning adjustment and sleep mode.
